What a shocking conclusion..

Rin and I walk out of Inferno Valley with our heads held high. Rin is proud of herself, having defeated the last gym, and I am proud for her and for myself for helping her get here. We are walking along the road, enjoying our time with each other and letting our latest victory settle in when suddenly someone steps out in front of us. Rin schools her face into something slightly terrifying and I can see little electric sparks dancing off of her. The mysterious person holds up a pokeball and I can see Rin relax ever so slightly but the electric twinkling of her mane does not stop. I quickly move backwards, out of harms way, as the other trainer lets what looks to be a larger bird out of it's pokeball. After a moment I recognize it as a Feral Kusubi Archeops. It looks quite ready for battle, one head is glaring while the other bares it's fangs.

Rin takes her fighting stance and I can already see that she is gathering electricity in her hands. It only takes another second before Rin is dashing forward, her arms by her sides with her hands splayed out in a dangerous looking way. I never really know if Rin is going for a punch or just general contact when she starts her battles this way, but it seems this time it is a punch. I watch as Rin balls her fist, and pulls her arm back, preparing for a blow that looks like it is really going to hurt. The Archeops sees Rin coming though and moves in the air a bit, maneuvering so that Rin's punch hits in an area that will not hurt as badly. I can see the electricity course through the Feral Kusubi, momentarily pausing it's actions, but it recovers quickly and brings both of it's wings together in a powerful clap. I see Rin flinch slightly at the blow, but she bring her other hand up quickly to grab onto the Archeops. She tightens her grip and twists her upper body, pulling the large bird away from her and slamming it into the ground. The Archeops looks stunned for a moment but quickly brings it's feet up to slash at Rin with sharp talons exhibiting a purplish hue.

Rin jumps back, she doesn't look down to assess the damage done to her but she does shake out her hands, as if slamming the Archeops into the ground had hurt her as well. The Feral Kusubi is getting up as well, I can see electricity dance along it's feathers occasionally so I know it must be effected by Rin. I look back to Rin and notice she is charging up even more electric power. Within a blink of an eye Rin's hair and mane had fluffed up with static and I can see crackles of very sharp electricity, almost lightning like, dancing off of her. She takes a low stance and breathes for a second before she takes off at a very high speed, looking only like a blur to me. I watch as the vaguely pink colored blur slams into the Archeops. I hear a screech and watch as Rin and the Archeops struggle for a moment before the Arechops's tail comes down to bite into Rin's shoulder, but Rin doesn't even flinch, as if she had barely felt it. Still holding onto the Archeops, Rin tightens her fingers into the flesh and feathers of the Feral Kusubi and releases all of the pent up electricity she had gathered. I watch as the other trainer jumps back to avoid the shock wave of power Rin just released, then soon after I hear the Archeops screech loudly in pain. Electric sparks dance off of the Archeops and it doesn't retaliate, as if moving is too hard at the moment.

But before Rin can attack again I see the Archeops tense, it must know it is low on energy but it still protects itself out of instinct. Rin pulls one of her hands back and I see sparks covering her palm and fingers before she slams her hand, claws first, right back into the Archeops. It still doesn't faint, having endured the attack only to have Rin clench her hands once again and let out yet another shock wave of electricity, weaker this time but still very painful. I watch as Rin steps away from the now unconscious Archeops, and the other trainer darts forward to check their pokemon. Rin walks back over to me and smiles. I grin back at her, reaching into my bag to pull out a small spray bottle, handing it over to Rin so she can address her wounds while I go talk to the trainer.
